Since the company formed in the early 1970s, Linke & Linke Surveys has maintained a long term philosophy of continuous innovation. To deliver excellence in all practical applications requires a deep awareness of the latest spatial technology and ensuring all field surveyors are not only highly trained, but completely equipped to deliver on any task, no matter the degree of difficulty. Linke & Linke Surveys projects have included airports, dams, power stations, railways, tunnels and shafts to underground rail services, open cut mines, hydrographic, seismic and GPS surveys, transmission line surveys, large scale road and major bridge works.

James Linke

 

Financial Manager and Chief Controller at Linke & Linke Surveys, James Linke brings an exceptional track record to his role as financial manager and the Chief Controller of aerial surveys utilising LIDAR and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Highly qualified with a Masters of Commerce (Accounting), Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation and Certificate IV Aero Skills in Avionics, James has previously held roles as an Engineer with Siemens and an Avionics Engineer with Qantas Australia. A noted industry leader on the latest in technology and techniques regarding UAV and laser scanning technology, James is not only committed to the effective operations of the Linke & Linke team in maintaining an industry leading position, but is highly customer focused with a corporate commitment to delivering exceptional quality and spatially correct survey deliverables that exceed customer expectations. An avid AFL supporter and member of the Sports Aircraft Association, James brings a people oriented approach to this highly technical field which ensures customer expectations are carefully managed for excellence.

 

Alastair Linke

 

Alastair Linke is the Director of Linke & Linke Surveys. A University of NSW graduate and Registered Surveyor with the Board of Surveyors NSW, Alastair graduated with honors in both a Bachelor of Engineering (Surveying) and Masters of Commerce Degree. As the Principal Surveyor, and Quality Manager of Field and Office Surveys, Alastair is exceptionally experienced having worked across a number of industries including Defence, Aviation, Government and non-Government projects. The vast number of projects on which Alastair has been involved include dams, power stations, railways, open cut mines, hydrographic, seismic and GPS surveys, large scale road and major bridge works and surveys for large scale airfield mapping. A member of the Institution of Surveyors NSW and the Institution of Engineers Australia, Alastair is wholly committed to achieving exceptional outcomes for the unique requirement of each customer. His long and extensive history working with some of the foremost names in construction and technology ensures he has the required track record to understand the complexities involved with each project. With a commitment to continually researching the latest techniques and technologies in order to continue improving the services of his company, Alastair and his team are able to consistently deliver over and above client expectations with a degree of precision and accuracy that is unparalleled.

 

Shaune Coates

 

As the Survey Manager, with more than 30 years of on-the-ground experience, Shaune Coates’ hands on techniques in the field ensure that he and his team continue to deliver on the Linke & Linke company promise of exceptional precision and accuracy in all survey projects. From his first project working as an underground surveyor on the Skitube Rail Access from Perisher to Mount Blue Cow in the Kosciusko National Park, through a multitude of projects including the Sydney Harbour Tunnel, mining projects, airports both in Australia and internationally, RMS and major road and bridge works including the Sydney to Newcastle F3 Freeway upgrade, he has amassed the considerable expertise required to lead the highly qualified and experienced team of field surveyors. Highly personable with a love of sports and the outdoors, Shaune understands that each survey requirement is unique and utilises his many years of expertise across a wide range of projects to give the necessary support, guidance and training to the continually expanding field teams thus ensuring each project is perfectly completed within the allocated time frames.
