PROJECT SUMMARY
Linke & Linke Surveys was tasked, and successfully completed the design and construction of a 2,400 metre runway extending into Botany Bay with seawall, taxiway bridges over General Holmes Drive and airfield lighting at Sydney Airport.
The project reclaimed an area of approximately 170 hectares (4.5 x 1.5 kilometres) into Botany Bay. Features and achievements of this project include:
Construction of a 7 kilometre retaining wall in Botany Bay
360,000m2 asphalt pavement
55,000m2 concrete pavements
Completed 6 months ahead of schedule & $52m below budget
Construction of 175 metre twin bridge structure at Bells Creek
